About Anna
Anna, founder, creator, and formulator is a holistic esthetician with 15+ years of experience. She founded Oil Studio in 2019 when life as we know it, was changing forever. During this time she left her life in California and relocated to her home state of Idaho.
Before opening Oil Studio in Boise, she had her own practice in Santa Barbara. Throughout the years she has worked at various salons and spas in Seattle, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.
Anna believes in treating the skin from a holistic and integrative approach. What we eat, how we move, what media we consume and how much water we drink all matter when it comes to our overall health—as well as the health of our skin.
In Anna’s treatments you can expect each one to be different than the last. All are apothecary style, meaning there is no treatment plan until you come in and we interact with your skin. After that, custom masks are blended using raw plant compounds, fruit acids, fruit enzymes, flower waters, and concentrated plant tinctures to create what is best suitable for your skin at that time.
Anna studied psychology at University of Oregon before attending the Aveda Institute in Seattle. She has trained with the Green Beauty Academy and taken classes in herbalism, integrative health, facial reflexology, advanced facial massage, TCM, and Ayurveda.
When she’s not at the shop Anna loves to explore the mountains, cook, garden, hang out with her cat, travel, and dance.

Meet Ellie, a licensed holistic esthetician who brings over a decade of experience to Oil Studio. Raised in the area surrounded by an abundance of beauty, Ellie feels lucky to call Boise home. She believes in a whole body and mind approach to achieve glowing, radiant, healthy skin - it starts with a lifestyle of integrity and authenticity, based on the notion that everything we do affects everything else. Ellie's passion is about being mindful, collectively conscious, and creating a sustainable life. Your well-being is her ambition.
Inspired by the power of nature, Ellie is proud to be partnered with Botnia Skincare, and you can always look forward to experiencing unique treatments. She thoughtfully blends custom masks using raw plant compounds, acids, fruit enzymes, flower waters, and concentrated plant boosters to build precise remedies for your skin type and current conditions. In addition to being an expert facialist and sugaring specialist, Ellie holds certifications in micro and nano-needling, Gua sha, lymphatic drainage, dermaplaning, and eyelash lifts.
Ellie envelops her guests with natural nervines, and the serenity they experience flows into other aspects of their lives. Before obtaining her Esthetics license at Oliver Finley Academy, Ellie studied English at Boise State University and found deep interest in her Philosophy and Plants In Society courses. She understands the importance of the relationship between the health of our planet and the health and beauty of humans.
